Governor Bill Lee has called a Special Session – even though most legislators oppose it – to force the Legislature to enact Lee’s proposed RED FLAG law. But there is more!
Our Legislative sources are telling us that there are also proposals expected from Republican legislators to consider other gun control measures like mandatory gun safes, making it a crime where you can be prosecuted if your firearm is stolen from you or your vehicle, possibly making you civilly liable if a thief steals your gun and harms others with it, and even a proposal to make it impossible to fill certain prescriptions unless you sign a waiver of your right to purchase firearms.
What is clear is that Governor Bill Lee’s Special Session, his proposed RED FLAG law and any other proposed gun control measures are a real and tangible threat to your Second Amendment rights. Furthermore, Lee’s Red Flag law ignores the real issue because it leaves the dangerous person at large in the community where they have access to firearms and other weapons.
There are over 7 million Tennesseans and millions of them are gun owners. We have to reach them as well and we have a short time to spread the word through all available means of advertising, social media, podcasts, videocasts and interviews in order to reach the voters.
